The sedan is the first of nine NEVs (new energy vehicles) Nissan aims to introduce in China by mid-2027, as part of its recovery plan. Nissan, with the N7, has also reached a fresh customer base, with 70% of orders from first-time buyers.
Features, Range and Grades
The company designed the Nissan N7 with young families in mind, since it offers performance and comfort. It has two battery options, that is the 58 kWh and 73 kWh, providing a maximum cruising range of 635 km, based on the CLTC (China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle).

The N7, to meet the preferences of varied customers, is available in three grades: Max, Pro and Air. The Max and Pro versions have both battery options and range in price from RMB 119,900 to 149,900, which is approximately USD 17,000 to 21,000.
Key Technologies and Comfort
One of the standout features of the N7 is how it navigates on the Autopilot system. The vehicle is developed in partnership with Momenta, who is a leader in autonomous driving. It offers end-to-end driving assistance for extra ease on the road.
Another notable technology is the zero-pressure seating, which uses an AI-based adaptive posture system. This feature helps adjust the seat using individual sensor feedback, with the aim of enhancing comfort on long drives.
The focus of the N7 is on comfort and price, so as to attract younger families, many of whom are exploring EV for the first time. Its success means there's a strong interest in practical yet feature-rich electric cars.
Sales Network and Customer Support
Dongfeng Nissan, to support its EV launch, has built a large NEV-focused sales and service network in China. The highlights include:

- Over 100 NEV-only distribution centers.
- More than 500 order centers all over the country.
- Upgraded online app for updates and bookings.
- A dedicated online community for users to interact.
Offline, the brand has created a new channel system to help manage orders, delivery and after-sales separately. This is to give buyers more flexible options and quicker services.
Looking Ahead: Role in Nissan Strategy
Nissan has confirmed that the EV sedan is set for future export, with the aim of meeting broader global demand for EV. Its launch is a big step in Nissan's plan to focus on product updates and stronger market reach.
Isao Sekiguchi, Managing Director of Dongfeng Nissan, said, “The launch of the N7 is a new starting point and we will work together with everyone to create a more diverse and exciting automotive lifestyle.”
The strong early performance of the N7 means there is a promising road ahead for the electric goals of Nissan.
