Mitsubishi Outlander receives 5-star rating from Latin NCAP

ABU DHABI: The Mitsubishi Outlander has achieved a new milestone by receiving a 5-star rating from Latin NCAP. This shows Mitsubishi's  commitment to spreading traffic safety knowledge and developing safety technologies, leading to a safe driving experience.

Latin NCAP employs a comprehensive evaluation process to assess the safety ratings of vehicles. This evaluation considers four crucial aspects: vulnerable road and pedestrian users, child occupants, adult occupants, and safety assist systems, assessing a vehicle's safety performance.

The cutting-edge safety features offered by the Mitsubishi Outlander include active blind spot assist, blind spot warning, rear automatic emergency braking, and pedestrian detection with forward collision mitigation. The high-rigidity Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution body fortifies the structural integrity of the vehicle. Furthermore, the seven supplemental restraint system airbags have been placed strategically throughout the vehicle, ensuring the occupant's safety in various impact scenarios. 

The Mitsubishi Outlander has also received five-star ratings from the Japan and Australia NCAP, showcasing its dedication to top-notch safety standards across different regions.

As the flagship model of Mitsubishi, the Outlander testifies to the proficiency of the Japanese carmaker in all-wheel control technologies and electrification. The Outlander's gasoline model has made a huge impact by selling over 210,000 units in more than forty countries, attesting to the vehicle's popularity. Outlander's PHEV model was introduced in 2021 and marks a leap in Mitsubishi's commitment to eco-friendly driving solutions.

In the UAE, the Outlander is available in the PHEV variant at the starting price of AED 119,000.
