Hyundai Santa Fe receives Red Dot Design award

ABU DHABI: In the Product Design: Cars and Motorcycles category, Hyundai Motor Company was awarded the prestigious 2024 Red Dot Award for the Santa Fe. With an extended wheelbase, spacious rear cabin, and a larger tailgate opening, the fifth-generation Santa Fe impresses outdoor enthusiasts.

The all-new Santa Fe has a boxy appearance and an elongated wheelbase. The high hood in the front, bold fenders, and H-shaped headlamps incorporate Hyundai’s emblem. Its balanced rear end and 21-inch wheels complement its bold design. 

The interior of the Santa Fe is quite impressive all thanks to its foldable seats, spacious seating arrangement, and advanced tech such as dual wireless charging and Panoramic Curved Display. The commitment of Hyundai to sustainability shines through with eco-friendly leatherette and recycled plastic used in the vehicle's design.

For the Multi-Lantern portable flashlight, Hyundai Motor earned acclaim in the Outdoor and Camping Equipment category. Doubling as both a mood light and traditional flashlight, it is inspired by the Korean traditional light Horongbul. It has got dustproof, waterproof certification, and a user-friendly interface. This showcases the versatility of Hyundai in product design.

The Red Dot Award, organized in Germany by Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, signifies the contribution of Hyundai to global design excellence. It spans Brand & Communication Design, Product Design, and Design Concept. The success of Hyundai Motor Company in this competition underscores its global competitiveness and robust design ethos.
