Audi Q5 e-hybrid Joins UAE Market with Greater Range, Power Options

Abu Dhabi : Audi's new Q5 e-hybrid line has a combination of power, style, and electric range. It offers up to 100 km of emission-free driving to drivers in the UAE.

Audi has added two new plug-in hybrid (PHEV) options to its Q5 range, with the two available as SUV and Sportback body styles.

These new models will give drivers in the UAE a cleaner yet high-performance option for daily use and longer journeys. The launch, which is set for a European release by mid-June 2025, will follow in other markets including the UAE by the third quarter.

The Q5 e-hybrid models, with two power options of 220 kW and 270 kW, will match sportiness with efficiency. Both versions use a 2.0 TFSI engine paired with an electric motor to deliver smooth performance across varied road conditions. Audi’s quattro ultra drive and dual-clutch transmission will give it confident handling.

Stronger Battery, Smarter Energy Use

One of the most notable upgrades is the new high-voltage battery. Audi has boosted its net capacity to 20.7 kWh, which is about 45% more than the earlier version.

That means there will be an all-electric range of up to 100 kilometers, which is perfect for UAE city commutes or short desert escapes without emissions. Full charging via 11 kW AC takes just 2.5 hours.

Drivers can pick between two modes: EV (electric-only) and hybrid. In hybrid mode, the system smartly reserves electric energy for later when drivers most need it. The new digital slider now allows users to manually adjust battery usage, which adds more control to the driving experience.

Performance and Equipment Highlights

Comfort and Control, Standard

Audi drivers in the UAE will appreciate the added comfort and tech that now come standard. The 220 kW version has 3-zone automatic comfort air conditioning and S sports suspension.

The higher 270 kW version comes with LED headlights plus, LED rear lights pro, and the full MMI experience plus infotainment system. Also standard are 19-inch alloy aero wheels, red brake calipers, and a flexible rear seat bench with adjustable angle and length.

Infotainment is a highlight with smartphone integration, the Audi sound system, and access to the Audi Application Store.
