Arctic Trucks transforms Isuzu D-Max into a more capable off-roader

ABU DHABI: Arctic Trucks has recently modified the refreshed Isuzu D-Max by giving it a better off-road makeover. Arctic Trucks is famous around the world as it builds extreme off-road cars. Earlier, the company modified other pickup vehicles like Nissan Navara, Toyota Hilux, etc.

This modified pickup is officially known as the D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35, a decked up version of the pick-up truck that is sold globally. The truck rides on 17-inch alloy wheels which are painted in black. This setting is standard across all the variants. it gets Fox Performance Suspension which not only provides better ground clearance but also offers a better off-road capability.

To deal with the chunky as well as the large tires, the vehicle is equipped with a set of flared wheel arch extensions. The side steps have now become larger and that will make the entry and exit to the truck more convenient. The vehicle has special badges of Arctic trucks all around the body to make it different from any of the D-Max. Moreover, it is available in three different colour trims, that are, Sapphire Blue, Galena Grey, and Spinel Red. However, the Galena Grey coloured trim will be available in any case of special order.

Inside the car, the vehicle comes with a special 7-inch multifunction infotainment system which supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Most parts of the cabin get a gloss black paint scheme which also includes the air vents, glove box, and window switches. The seats’ structure has been refreshed with softer material for added comfort. Plus, they are wrapped in leather upholstery.

Despite having a host of tweaks in the other sections, the modifier did not make any changes to the engine that comes in the standard vehicle. Hence, the motor continues to thrust out a maximum power of 164 PS along with a peak torque of 360 Nm. The D-Max Arctic Truck AT35 comes with Trailer Sway Control. There is also a new feature that uses sensors to reduce vehicle speed automatically once the trailer-sway is detected.
