2026 Toyota Grand Highlander Arrives: Refined Full-Size SUV for the UAE

Abu Dhabi : The new Grand Highlander from Toyota comes to the UAE for 2026 with space, tech, and hybrid power. The aim is to suit large families with comfort and modern features.

Toyota has revealed its 2026 Grand Highlander, and it brings a fresh look, strong performance, and a smart cabin layout to the UAE.

This full-size SUV is ready for families who need space, comfort, and practicality. The Grand Highlander, designed for driving in the city and to do long journeys, is built to deliver a smooth and enjoyable ride no matter the distance.

Spacious and Flexible Interior

Inside the 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander, you’ll find a thoughtful layout that puts passenger comfort first. Thanks to a wide third row that offers 33.5 inches of legroom and 37.2 inches of headroom, it seats up to eight adults.

There’s space for seven carry-on bags even when all seats are taken, while cargo capacity expands to 97.5 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded.

To keep things calm on the road, there are the sound-reducing glass and noise-damping features, while second-row options include captain’s chairs or a bench seat. There are also seven USB-C ports and plenty of cupholders to support a busy family lifestyle.

Technology and Premium Touches

There's a standard 12.3-inch touchscreen that runs Toyota’s new multimedia system. To ensure everyone stays comfortable, there are three-zone climate control, rear vents, and connected features.

On higher trims, luxury touches include leather seating, heated and ventilated second-row seats, and ambient lighting for a feel of relaxation.

Powertrains and Capability

• 2.4L turbo petrol engine (265 hp).
• 2.5L hybrid (245 hp).
• Hybrid MAX (362 hp).

These options give it a balance of power with fuel economy that can reach up to 36 MPG combined for hybrid models. The Hybrid MAX still manages 27 MPG while providing solid towing strength of 5,000 pounds.

Selectable drive modes, including Sport, Eco, and Normal, and Multi-Terrain Select give the Grand Highlander the flexibility to handle the roads, dunes, and rough tracks in UAE.

Modern Exterior with a Confident Look

The Grand Highlander has a bold front with a hammerhead nose, flared fenders, and wide rear stance. It has hands-free liftgates, roof rails, and 18- or 20-inch wheels depending on trim.

There is LED lighting to help with visibility, while optional Ultrasuede® or leather seats, memory functions, and wood-effect details create a calm, premium environment inside.

Made in the USA, Ready for the UAE

Toyota builds the Grand Highlander in Indiana, alongside the Sienna and Lexus TX. It will arrive in the UAE by late 2025, and they will offer it in LE, XLE, Limited, Platinum, and Hybrid Nightshade grades.

It is expected that the starting prices will be AED 151,800 for the petrol LE, AED 164,000 for the Hybrid LE, and AED 202,000 for the Hybrid MAX Limited, though there may be some adjustments due to local taxes or fees.
