Suzuki Jimny (2014-2021)

I honestly got the Suzuki Jimny just for the fun of it, and it hasn’t disappointed. It’s small, boxy, and definitely stands out from the usual SUVs on Dubai roads. Yes, it’s compact, but it’s surprisingly capable when you go off-road in the desert. The engine isn’t huge, but the lightweight body makes it handle rough terrain well. Inside, it’s straightforward and minimal, don’t expect luxury, but everything you need is there, like air conditioning, Bluetooth, and a simple screen. On the highway it feels light, but within the city and short drives, it’s perfect. Parking is super easy because of its size, which is a blessing in packed areas. If you like something quirky yet practical, the Jimny is a good pick.

Not my personal favourite but the Suzuki Jimny is reasonably good when it comes to off-road capabilities and dependable performance. Suzuki has improved this SUV a lot and it gets the 1.5-liter engine with 100 hp of power and 130 Nm of torque, not great but not bad either. It's perfect for desert adventures in the UAE. The compact design and strong built quality makes sure greater navigation with little efforts, especially if you take it to tough terrains. With a top speed of 140 km/h, the Jimny gives a good blend of off-road prowess and on-road usability.

Among a few things that attracted me towards the Jimny is Suzuku introducing All Grip Pro Technology, which is quite innovative, especially targeted at off-road adventures. I got to study it a bit and was fascinated by what the car is equipped with. This highly modern tech basically is a 4WD system that very well adapted to various tougher and uneven terrains and make sure better traction, stability and greater control, key aspects for our off-roading fun. Suzuki has been smart to get the All Grip Pro to the Jimny giving it truly great features.

The Jimny for me is a capable, multipurpose, and fun to drive SUV from Suzuki. It shines particularly well in its off-roading capabilities with the 4WD and powerful engine for its size, also the compact size makes it quite nimble on various terrains. The interior is not that bad, it has sufficient and good space for every slightly longer trip. I will also highlight two more key areas that the Jimny is good at, one is the advanced features like six airbags, ESC, hill assists and also quite the latest infotainment system with nice touchscreen and decent connectivity.

If you are in search for a car that is great for riding within the city I would suggest to explore this Suzuki model. I am sure you will get bewildered just the way I got when I first came across this. Even if the road condition is not so favorable the model would turn the driving experience to a remarkable one. This I can assure out of my personal experience. No matter where you drive the car you will be enable to take this and kudos to its ground clearance and drivetrain for that. Even I should give enough credit to the overall ruggedness of the car equally.

The Jimny is a gimmicky vehicle, which basically makes Jeep cars more accessible for people. There’s no really point to buying a Jimny other than hoping that you impress someone with your open hood car. However, the practical problems of owning an open hood car in the middle of a desert are much more than you would care to imagine. I gave into the gimmick for a while and didn’t think there’s anything worth keeping this car. The build quality is sub par and the performance is just basic, so it is just the looks you’re buying, so make sure you know what you are getting.

As an adventure seeker, I can't get enough of my Jimny. Its eco-modern look, along with its ability to go anywhere, makes it a true classic. Although the car is relatively small, it’s pretty surprising to know that this latest Jimny model is capable of going through different terrains off-road. The interior is so compact and beautifully organized; obviously, at this price point, I won't be expecting premium leathers and other stuff. However, this car has been brilliant in all aspects. Its compact yet hunky design makes it feel like it can drive through any terrain, and it does that brilliantly due to its good power-to-weight factor.

I got perplexed just at the first visual appeal of this model and did not take much time to take a firm decision of opting for it. This extra sleek SUV model reflects a retro modern style which is brimming with character. I was sure with its first glance that no matter where I go on this I can turn many heads with ease. Another startling aspect of the model is its ultra robust body frame. The durability of the materials within equally fascinated me. For driving via mountains this may prove to be an apt choice.

Jimny is Suzuki's pint-sized off-roader that can transform your off-roading experience. It's got a solid axle rear and front, a ladder frame, and a low-range transfer case. Because of its narrow and short design, it can tackle tight wooded trails that might be difficult to tackle for other modern 4x4s. A high seating position gives the feel of driving a larger vehicle. While driving it, you'll get a commanding view of the road. Its fit and finish are also good, considering its price range. But if you're tall, you should not go for it.

If you are an adventure enthusiast who often takes the road less traveled, then the Suzuki Jimny is the car for you. I have driven quite a few SUVs and have taken them on adventure trips as well. But the Suzuki Jimny is simply class apart in its segment. The SUV comes with a classic SUV design, a boxy and very distinct appeal is perfectly backed by a capable engine, efficient suspension and exceptional handling that makes the car a perfect off-roader. If it's the difficult terrains you want to face, this SUV surely won’t disappoint you.
