Instead, it’s like a generator that charges the liquid-cooled, 66kWh lithium-ion battery pack and provides power directly to the electric motor. It’s a rather unique powertrain in this regard and outputs a whopping 805 PS/1050 Nm. Handling is a bit clumsy and that’s quite expected from a SUV of this weight and size. But the Brembo brakes are powerful. The rear-wheel steering has a small turning radius of only 10.2 meters. Ride comfort is decent and the adjustable suspension absorbs urban ruts, potholes, and even the desert sand well. Wind noise is high while cruising. But road noise is nicely insulated courtesy of the high-quality Pirelli Scorpion AT tires.
