Commercial people-movers aren't meant to be premium or luxurious and the cabin of the 2024 Maxus V80 is on similar lines. The interior build quality is robust and can handle the rigors of daily use since the van is targeted at aggregators and fleet operators. The cabin is mostly grey with some use of soft-touch materials. Hard plastics have been abundantly used in the cabin to increase its durability. The switches are chunky and easily accessible from the driver's seat. They are easy to operate. Passenger vans usually have very basic audio systems and it's the same for the 2024 Maxus V80. It comes only with a proprietary radio system that supports Bluetooth and auxiliary-in connectivity. The unit is connected to a four-speaker sound system. Audio output is average.

The 2024 Maxus V80 has a typical van-like styling and the company has never changed its appearance. The van itself is shaped like a huge rectangle with a short nose at the front. The halogen headlights are large and are paired with daytime running lights (DRLs). The 2024 Maxus V80 also gets large, electrically adjustable side mirrors. The fabric seats are nicely padded and come with decent back support. The seats are reclinable and get enough legroom. The headroom is huge. The air-conditioning is quick and cools the cabin pretty fast. The suspension is a bit on the harder side like most passenger vans but pretty much absorbs most of the bumps. 

The 2024 Maxus V80 18-seater van is hauled by a turbocharged, four-cylinder, 2.5-litre diesel engine that produces 134 PS/330 Nm. The motor is mated to a six-speed manual. Power delivery is smooth and the van is always eager to pull further at the higher-end of the rev range. Despite being a big van, the Maxus V80 is surprisingly easy to handle. But the engine does have cooling issues. 

Being a commercial vehicle, the 2024 Maxus V80 doesn't have much in terms of safety equipment. Antilock braking comes as standard, along with rear parking sensors, three-point seatbelts for the front passengers, and two-point seatbelts for the rear seats. Only the driver and front passenger get airbags, which is common among most commercial vans. A rear camera would have helped in parking, considering the size of the van. 

The 2024 Maxus V80 is a bit high priced compared to its rivals. It may appear expensive to individual buyers. As a shuttle, there's nothing to complain about the van. It's a well-balanced vehicle and offers a comfortable traveling experience.
