Infiniti Q60

The Infiniti Q60 is another premium model in the Japanese car maker’s Q range of sedans. It is available in three trim-levels including Q60 LUXE 2.0, Q60 LUXE 3.0 and Q60 RED Sport with two-engine and a single gearbox configuration. The exterior colour choices offered with the Q60 range include a Pure White (QAW), Majestic White (QAB), Liquid Platinium (K23), Graphite Shadow (KAD), Iridium Blue (EBC), Dynamic Sunstone (NBA), Midnight Black (GAG) and Black Obsidian (KH3). In terms of proportions, the sedan measures 4,690 mm in length, 2,052 mm in width (with mirrors), 1,850 mm in height and has a 125 mm of ground clearance. 

Carrying Infiniti’s signature styling, it has a bold face with key elements such as LED auto-level headlamps with integrated daytime running lights and LED fog lamps. Sides are marked by chunky 19-inch alloy wheels with dark chrome finish on the top-spec trim, while the entry-level and mid-spec grades get a bi-turbo finish. Also, the body painted outside rear view mirrors sport integrated LED turn signals. An electric glass sunroof and perforated twin exhaust tailpipes with chrome finisher are specific to the 3.0-litre V6 petrol unit. It additionally comes with opposed calliper sport brakes finished in red. The heated wing mirrors can be adjusted electrically and come with power-folding with reverse synchronization function. 

The cabin is stretched on a 2,850 mm long wheelbase that carves out generous room for occupants seated in front and rear seats. It is large enough to accommodate five full-size adults with comfortable head-space, knee room and shoulder space at both ends. The two door sedan with a fuel tank capacity of 80-litres offers 342-litres of cargo space with rear seats in use. Also layered inside is the INFINITI InTuition Fully customisable digital environment, INIFINITI Drive Mode Selector and INFINITI InTouchTM. Two touchscreen units, a large 8-inch and a 7-inch LCD VGA are equipped inside. USB/iPod connectivity and Aux-in RCA, voice recognition system, Bluetooth technology for mobile connectivity, AM/FM, six speakers, etc. are some of the connectivity tech available with the infotainment system. In addition to the above list, active noise cancellation and active sound enhancement, one-touch power windows with auto-operation and dual-zone climate control are offered depending on the variant. 

The set of engines powering the Infiniti Q60 range include a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo direct injection engine with 208 hp at 5,500 rpm against 350 Nm torque between 1,250 to 3,500 rpm. This unit is available with the entry-level variant only. A high-displacing 3.0-litre, six-cylinder, twin-turbo direct injection engine powers the mid and higher trims. It puts out maximum power of 400 hp at 6,400 rpm against 475 Nm torque between 1,600 to 5,200 rpm. All three variants are linked to a seven-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels. Safety is taken care of by six airbags, 4-wheel anti-lock braking system with EBD, traction control system and vehicle dynamic control, hill start assist, tyre pressure monitoring, cruise control, brake assist, front pre-crash seat belts and first aid kit with warning triangle.
