EXEED ET

EXEED builds the ET's cabin around Grade 5A eco-friendly materials. This includes bio-nylon trim, organosilicon surfaces, and genuine wood inlays rather than the usual wood-effect plastic. The 23-speaker system peaks at 2,880 watts, tuned to recreate a concert hall or cinema rather than just filling the cabin with volume. A 15.6-inch central touchscreen runs the car's main functions, paired with a second touchscreen for rear-seat entertainment and climate control.

Front Seat

Wheel size actually changes with the powertrain here, not just the trim level. The BEV Ultra gets 21-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin rubber, while both REEV variants make do with 20-inch wheels on Continental tyres instead. The smaller wheels on the REEV pair make sense next to a heavier combustion-plus-battery drivetrain up front. • Driving Dubai Marina's tight underground ramps, ask a lot of a car this size, but tight-radius parking sensors and the 360-degree camera make the ET feel smaller than its footprint suggests once you're actually threading between the pillars.
• If you pull away from a standstill on the service roads of Sheikh Zayed Road, the response is immediate, with none of the delay a turbocharged petrol SUV would have while it spools up.
• Over speed bumps on the older stretches of Al Wasl Road, the suspension absorbs the impact quietly. The air suspension softens the impact before it reaches the cabin, though you can still feel a firmer edge on sharper bumps at low speed.

Highway Performance

• While merging onto the E11 near Ghantoot, the ET settles into a steady, quiet cruise, and wind noise keeps it low enough that a normal conversation doesn't need raised voices.
• Overtaking a convoy of slower trucks on Emirates Road (E611) happens in one smooth push, the dual motors building speed together rather than one waiting for the other to catch up.
• The long, featureless stretch past Al Ain is where the cabin's insulation actually shows itself, the road roar staying low enough at 140 km/h that the 23-speaker system barely needs raising above a whisper.
• The REEV's range extender quietly keeps the battery topped up at a steady high speed on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, so most passengers won't notice it running at all.

Ride and Handling

• Drive over the patched sections near Academic City's older interchanges, and the CDC-damped air suspension deals with most of it before it reaches the second row, only the sharpest edges getting through as a soft thud.
• The steering weight builds naturally as your speed rises, light enough for tight Deira side streets but firm enough on the highway that lane changes never feel nervous.
• If you push the ET through a fast, sweeping bend on Jebel Ali's interchange loops, body control stays flat for a car of this size, and the air suspension keeps the roll in check without turning the ride harsh everywhere else.
• The braking from higher speed feels progressive rather than grabby, and it is useful the moment someone brakes and checks you on a crowded Sheikh Zayed Road afternoon.

You get to choose from three variants of the ET range in the UAE. The difference is based on two lines: powertrain and how much of the cabin's nicer equipment comes standard.

REEV Pro is the base variant. It comes with a smaller 40 kWh battery with the 1.5-litre range extender. It sticks with vegan leather on 6-way seats and skips auto-parking for buyers who want the range-extended powertrain without the cabin's higher-end comfort features.

REEV Ultra keeps the same powertrain but steps up to real leather and 8-way seats with memory function, plus a memory steering wheel, auto-parking, and the ioniser air purification Pro skips. The jump over Pro is entirely about comfort, not performance or range.

BEV Ultra swaps the range extender for a larger 77 kWh battery, has bigger 21-inch wheels on Michelin tyres, and has the 220V outlet that the REEV variants don't get. It matches REEV Ultra on comfort equipment, so the real choice here is powertrain, not trim.

Zigwheels Recommendation

Our clear choice is the REEV Ultra, and the reasons are simple. It gets the same 1,140 km combined range as the Pro, so range anxiety was never really the question between those two in the first place. The jump to real leather, memory seats, and auto-parking is worth paying for once you're already committed to the REEV powertrain.

Now here is the thing: the ET, which is a real decision, has nothing to do with rivals; it's REEV or full battery under one brand. And you don't touch a different cabin or lose any of the tech either way.

And in the real world, that choice matters more here than for an established name, since EXEED is still building UAE trust that BYD and XPeng have a head start on. If you go REEV and range anxiety disappears completely, a claim neither the Sealion 7 nor the G9 can make on a plug alone. But if you choose the BEV Ultra, the 800V charging holds its own, even with 410 km trailing the Sealion 7's electric-only figure. For a buyer still unsure about public charging, that built-in flexibility is reason enough to look past the unfamiliar brand. With this, it is worth the showroom visit and experience in real life.
