Bentley Bentayga (2017-2021)

I own a Bentley Bentayga - EWB in Dubai and I can't say anything other than praise. The extended wheelbase offers an incredible amount of space inside and comfort for the forever busy Dubai streets. The V8 engine has a staggering amount of power and ensures brisk progress and the all wheel drive system instills confidence on the windy and fast mountain roads that are just outside of the city. The craftsmanship and attention to detail inside the model that I own are unlike those of any luxury car company in the world. It is a fantastic daily driver and a potent machine for long weekend drives. I highly recommend this ultra luxury as well as very capable SUV of the future, in Dubai at least.

When I first saw this model I was quite thrilled to figure that finally a reputed brand like Bentley has taken an excellent decision of introducing an SUV. Driving a car like this will surely leave a long lasting impact on your senses. This I am sharing out of my personal experience. When I first got into its cabin I was greeted by an exotic compartment that is excellently decked up with aromatic leather. The metal trims are simply gorgeous within and how intensely the sleek infotainment tech got amalgamated with its exotic wood inlays. Another very admirable aspect of the model is its exquisite performance.

The Bentley Bentayga is the epitome of luxury and power in an SUV. Its cabin redefines opulence, and the ride quality is unbelievably smooth, even on challenging terrain. The best way to experience the full luxury of the Bentayga is by travelling in the back seat because this is where true comfort resides. The soft seats offer good support and the overall ambience of the cabin keeps you at ease. The suspension unit does a marvelous job of soaking the bumps on the road and keeps everyone inside the vehicle comfortable.

I have planned to buy this car for a long time but couldn't get my hand on it due to budget issues. But last year, my son gifted this car to me, fulfilling my dream of riding this mid-size luxury crossover SUV. It is perfect for my daily commute and accommodates the needs of my family well. The tasteful metal and wood trim and tons of impressive features throughout its cabin impart a premium feel. Due to its longer body, it offers more space in the rear seat allowing the passengers to stretch out and relax. But its sky-high price tag may not make it an ideal option for budget-minded customers.

Bentley Bentayga is a preeminent ultra-luxury SUV that exudes status and exclusivity in equal measure. It comes with a sport-tuned adaptive suspension and an aggressive exhaust system. The seats are exceedingly comfortable, supple, and supportive, even over long distances. Apple CarPlay can be availed via a wireless connection, and USB ports exist for the backseat and front passengers. There is a grabbiness to the pedal, making it difficult to stop smoothly. It is also a bit clumsy and can bounce around between lane markers.

I don’t own the Bentley Bentayga but have driven it umpteen number of times. I own a Continental GT is the same engine specification. However, I somewhere feel that the extra weight affects the power and as it does not manage to pull as fluently as the Continental. But feature-wise, there is just no comparison. It feels just as luxurious and plush as the Continental GT with the best wind and noise insulation. The massage function on the seats is my personal favourite, though I don’t use it while driving as it distracts me.
