Nissan Unveils Two New NEV SUV Concepts at Beijing Auto Show 2026
Abu Dhabi: Nissan has unveiled the two NEV (New Energy Vehicle) SUV concept cars at the Beijing Auto Show 2026. The city-focused Urban SUV PHEV and the rugged, revived Terrano PHEV show Nissan’s focus on electric and hybrid SUVs targeting young city customers. They also highlight a "China-first" strategy with the next-gen design and hybrid technology designed for the urban drivers as well as the adventure riders.
What do These New SUV Concepts offer?
Urban SUV PHEV Concept
The Urban SUV PHEV Concept is designed for the young, city dwellers. It carries design language from the NX8 and Nissan’s future SUV lineup, giving it a sleek and coupe-like design with a modern mauve finish.

- Youthful "mauve" and an illuminated Nissan logo
- Advanced electrification technology
Terrano PHEV Concept
The Terrano PHEV Concept marks the return of an iconic nameplate with a rugged design. It is built for adventure, with a boxy design that gives it a tough road presence.

- Perfect for outdoor adventure and urban commuting
With these models, Nissana is also planning to introduce three additional NEV models in China by fiscal year 2027
Where Do Nissan’s New NEV SUV Concepts Stand in the UAE Market?
As of Urban SUV PHEV Concept and Terrano PHEV Concept models have only been launched in China. They will be coming to the UAE in the coming years, where the electrified mobility is growing rapidly, and will benefit from the EV Charging Stations network across the UAE. Largely they:
