Lexus has made the cabin of the ES a supremely luxurious and unique place to be in, and like much of its stablemates in Lexus’ lineup, it also gets a well-appointed cabin with high levels of fit and finish and an asymmetric design for the central part of the cabin.

Behind the three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel with a huge centre boss, the Lexus ES gets a modern-looking full-TFT instrument console. The attention is then diverted to the asymmetric centre console, which comes with a standalone 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which gets a cluster of buttons below it for the 10-speaker Lexus premium sound system and three-zone automatic climate control.

At the front, the Lexus ES is adorned with a spindle-themed grille, which has become a trademark element of all the Lexus offerings on sale in the current times. This grille gets a chrome finish all around and honeycomb inserts within it. The upper side edges of this grille make way for the curved lines swooping over the bonnet, giving the ES an aerodynamic look. The curvy design at the front looks complete with the boomerang-shaped, Z-themed all-LED headlamps and wedge-shaped faux air dams with chrome garnish on the corners of the front bumper.

The Lexus ES looks low-slung and elegant when you watch it from the side, with the sedan having a poised look with the 18-inch machined alloy wheels on offer. The sedan features a sleek character line passing through the upper portion of the door panels and gets sporty-looking door-mounted rear-view mirrors and chrome surrounds for the window panels.

At the back, the elegance of the Lexus ES continues with the sleek combination of LED tail lamps, which come with chrome surrounds. The sleek tail lamps, which have tapered inner edges, are joined by a character line on the boot lid above the license plate housing. 

Measuring 4975mm long, 1865mm wide and 1445mm tall, the Lexus ES is a poised sedan with a long wheelbase, which keeps it stable while instant cornering and liberates a finer amount of space for a comfortable experience for rear seat occupants. The overall suspension setup of the Lexus ES is fine-tuned for plush and soft ride quality.

Powering both the variants of Lexus ES on sale in the UAE is a 3.5-litre naturally-aspirated V6 petrol engine, which is one of the last naturally-aspirated V6 engines on sale in the world right now. Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, this V6 engine is capable of putting up a maximum power output of 302 bhp and a maximum torque output of 364 Nm.

The decently long safety equipment list of the Lexus ES comprises features like front, side, and curtain airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, front and rear parking sensors, cruise control, vehicle stability control, traction control, back guide monitor, and e-call emergency call alert. 

While the Lexus ES falls short of premium features when compared to its more new-age rivals, it is one fine mark of excellence when it comes to sheer appearance and road presence, quality of materials appointed everywhere and a plush and comfortable experience on the inside.
