But compared to a few electric vehicles that are perfect for spirited driving, the Kona Electric is not exciting to drive at high speed. Hyundai Kona Electric is equipped with an electric motor that produces a maximum power of 201 PS and peak torque of 395 Nm. A 64kWh lithium-ion battery supplies power to the electric motor. A single-speed reduction gear handles the transmission. It takes around 9 hours and 35 minutes to fully recharge the battery if you choose the 7.2 kW in-home wall charger. Using the supplied In-Cable Control Box with a standard 240V AC 3-prong outlet extends the charging time to 28 hours.

The Hyundai Kona Electric is equipped with top-notch safety features that offer you peace of mind while driving. Hyundai Kona Electric has a great range, ample comfort, and impressive styling. But the interior is a bit cramped, and cargo space is limited, making it a less desirable choice among more budget-friendly options that offer the same features.
