Interior

The textured leather and premium cabin equipments adds luxury to the practical nature of the car. The space inside the cabin is generous and it allows each passenger to have their level of comfort. The speedometer dial is a display unit which can be changed or switched to other modes like sporty, where the color scheme and layout gets changed and it kicks in a feel of enthusiasm. All the seats are comfortable, but the rear bench is a bit tight for the passenger sitting at the mid position. The person at that position will sit too high and will be searching its court in left and right. For the entertainment features, Bang and Olfsun high-end surround system is provided with a dashboard heads-up display and two 10.2-inch screens for rear seat entertainment system. The BMW Connected Drive serves the audio player in the cabin. At the trunk, the loading capacity is 460-liters and it can be extended upto 1265-liters with rear seats folded.

The alleged car is available with three types of body options. The coupe version measures its length as 4894 mm, width as 2090 mm, height as 1369 mm and wheelbase as 2855 mm. The Gran Coupe counts the length, width and height as 5007 mm x 2090 mm x 1392 mm. The wheelbase of this car is 2968 mm. The third one in the list is the convertible which stretches its length to 4894 mm, width to 2090 mm and height upto 1365 mm. Its wheelbase is 2855 mm. This car has robbed the looks of a capable sports car and it manages to deal well with the performance dynamics of the car efficiently. BMW 6 Series sits comfortable on the zenith level, known to be one of the most dynamic, strong and aerodynamic upper mid-range luxury of all time.

Engine, Mileage and Variants

BMW 6 Series is offered in 3 different trim levels – Coupe, Gran Coupe, Convertible. The 6-series cars from the German giant are composed of two types of engines; the smaller one is the 3.0-liter in-line 6 cylinder turbocharged engine which generates 320 hp of power between 5800 to 6000 rpm. The torque developed aside this power is 450 Nm at 1300 to 4500 rpm. The bigger one on offer is a 4.4-litre twin turbocharged V8 engine which generates 450 hp of power at 5500 rpm and the torque associated to the same is 650 Nm between 2000 to 4500 rpm. These engines have top speed mark of 250 kmph with 0 to 100 kmph acceleration grabbing ability in 5.4 seconds and 4.6 seconds with commendable fuel efficiency of 12 to 10 kmpl respectively.

Safety, Braking and Miscellaneous

BMW cars are among the greatest performers, but at the same time, they do not behave the wisely with the riding traits, while ending up with harsh and rough driving experience when compared to the other rivals in the series. The braking and stability are good, but the dot points towards the ride. At the corners, one would go out of confidence and the car seems to be getting slipped of, but that will be the extreme level of the case. This car is composed of various safety aspects including ABS, EBD, ESP, traction control, multiple airbags and brake assistance.

Verdict

The BMW 6 series is one of practical cars available in the premium segment of cars. It is powerful and looks great while accommodating a proper seat for four occupant. It performs good, but the steering can be improved and a bit more of space at the rear would be appreciable.
