Audi RS Q8

The interior of the 2024 Audi RS Q8 is very similar to the regular Q8. It's more business-like, and the interior quality is superb. RS logos are spread throughout the cabin. Interior space, too, is identical to the Q8. The RS Q8 gets chunky front seats. The rear seats are bench-type and include a central armrest with cupholders. All seats and upholstery are done in soft leather and faux-suede accents. The physical knobs and switches are easy to operate. The dashboard is dominated by a dual-screen touchscreen that comprises the Audi Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster and multimedia interface. The former displays power and torque output, lap times, and g-forces. The range-topping Vorsprung model adds an upgraded Bang & Olufsen audio system. The driver's seat is electrically adjustable. The multifunction leather-wrapped steering wheel is soft to hold. The two-zone climate control gets its own touchscreen. There's not much boot space with all the seats up.   

The 2024 Audi RS Q8 is derived from the regular Q8. It rides on Volkswagen's Modular Längsbaukasten (MLB) platform that also underpins the Q7, Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga, Porsche Cayenne, and Volkswagen Touareg. The Audi RS Q8 is broad-shouldered and is easily one of the largest interpretations of an SUV coupe. The front gets larger intakes, flared wheel arches and typical RS oval exhausts. The RS Q8 has a rather aggressive look with the large wheel arches. It runs on massive 22-inch wheels. The large three-part grille has the Audi logo in the centre. The optional Black Package adds blacked-out details, including RS logos. 

The cabin of the 2024 Audi RS Q8 is spacious and airy. The two front seats enjoy sumptuous legroom and headroom. The coupé-like roofline isn’t low in the front, and passengers don't feel crammed in. All sets come with great back support. The rear seat's position can be adjusted for greater comfort for taller passengers or extra boot space. There are a number of useful cubby holes and storage spaces to keep gadgets. A hands-free tailgate comes as standard equipment. The boot itself has two tie-down hooks. The suspension is nicely tuned and has active anti-roll bars that counteract body roll at bends and then automatically disconnect on straight roads to improve comfort. Most of the bumps and potholes are nicely absorbed by the suspension. All seats have heating and cooling functions.

The 2024 Audi RS Q8 is hauled by a twin-turbocharged, eight-cylinder, 4.0-litre petrol engine that produces a whopping 591 PS/800 Nm. The motor is mated to an eight-speed Quattro automatic all-wheel-drive. Performance-wise, the RS Q8 is seriously fast and matches brawnier cars like the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio, which is much lighter. Acceleration gives a wonderful soundtrack from the eight-cylinder motor. Handling is light, and cornering is easy with the 2024 Audi RS Q8.

The 2024 Audi RS Q8 offers superb visibility with front and rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera. The standard matrix headlights automatically dim part of the high beam to avoid dazzling oncoming traffic. The standard safety equipment can be upgraded to include Audi’s full suite of safety technology, like cross-traffic alert, speed limit recognition, blind spot monitoring, and a 360-degree bird' s-eye view camera.

The 2024 Audi RS Q8 is among the most expensive cars in its segment. It's impressively practical and premium at the same time. The cabin is comfortable and allows long hours of travel with no fatigue. It's a worthy car for those who don't mind spending extra for a large, premium SUV.
