I wanted to love my Acura RDX, but my experience was ruined due to quality control issues. From the start, I had to deal with loud creaking noises and squeaky brakes whenever I went over a speed bump. I also found the gas mileage to be very terrible, which was frustrating when I compared it with other vehicles in its segment. For me, the infotainment system was also very unresponsive, because of which I had to reset it once a month. The ongoing headaches and frustrations outweighed any positives, forcing me to sell this vehicle and upgrade to a Lexus.

After much thinking, I purchased the Acura RDX over many of the German rivals such as Audi and BMW. The RDX impressed me because of its affordability and fun-to-drive demeanor. I have not faced any issues with this car even after 3,000 miles. It’s very comfortable and quiet, with modes tailored to different types of driving needs—while normal mode offers 23 in comfort mode for highway driving RDX offers around 28 MPG. The touchpad is not the best, and a welcome improvement would have been a touchscreen, but it’s intuitive enough when you pair it for voice commands with Android Auto.

If you are keen to buy a compact luxury SUV this may not appear to be the most perfect choice for you as there are models that are way superior to this. Price wise this car is way on the lower side. Plus, this would be the perfect choice if you get tempted by abundant features in any car model. I admit its transmission quality is somewhat clumsy and the brake pedal is nonlinear one but you won’t be deprived of an entertaining drive due to the same. Plus, I was too glad to know that this model is providing all-wheel drive system.
