One-off Pininfarina Battista Targamerica hypercar unveiled

ABU DHABI: Pininfarina launched its first one-off client-commissioned vehicle since it became an independent brand. This model has been named the Battista Targamerica and it comes with a removable roof panel that makes it stand out from the standard electric hypercar.

The first roofless Battista has been commissioned by a well-known car collector who also has a fixed-roof Battista. Though the identity of the client has not been disclosed, they partnered closely with the design team of Pininfarina throughout the project. The 1986 Ferrari Testarossa Spider is the inspiration behind the roofless Battista.

The Battista Targamerica has been finished in a refined silver with blue accents reminiscent of the Testarossa Spider. Another highlight is its trunk lid slats that pay tribute to the engine cover of the Testarossa Spider, though Ferrari used them alot. The roofless design enhances cabin airflow and sunlight, requiring some modifications to the car's body.

Inside, the Targamerica features tan leather upholstery on the seats, complemented by black leather on the dashboard and steering wheel. A "one of one" plaque is positioned between the seats. The car also comes kitted with a custom luggage set that perfectly matches the seat leather. What makes it stand out is its integrated humidor and cigar holder, situated between the seats below the commemorative plaque. This back-lit compartment has been designed to hold up to three cigars.

The Battista Targamerica was commissioned during the 2023 Monterey Car Week and delivered to the client at the 2024 event. Pininfarina's chief design office has said that this one-off model will never be repeated. It will stand out forever as a one-of-a-kind vehicle. So you may be disappointed if you want to get your hands on this model.
