Audi Q8 gets a stylish makeover and new features

ABU DHABI: Audi has given its flagship SUV, the Q8, a mid-cycle refresh. The new Audi Q8 facelift made its debut at the IAA Motor Show in Munich, Germany. It will be offered in two versions- Standard & S.

  • The recently revealed Q8 is quite distinct from the Q8 e-tron, which debuted last year. Although both vehicles have a common name and are based on the Volkswagen Group MLB Evo platform, they have different origins. 

    The Audi Q8 facelift comes with various updates. These enhancements include the integration of advanced technology and features and various cosmetic changes. The facelifted Q8 boasts a single-frame grille with eye-catching octagonal design elements. It also has a modified bumper design. You also get standard high-intensity LED units as standard, and you can even upgrade to HD Matrix units or Matrix LEDs with Laser light technology. 

    The Audi Q8 facelift also features 21 to 23 inches alloy wheel designs, refined OLED tail lights, and a revised rear bumper. The Q8 also has the new 2D logo, and the technology, model, and derivative identifier embossed into the B-pillar.

    The interior of the new Q8 shares similarities with the outgoing car. The seat upholstery has been tweaked with different inlay patterns, interior color schemes, and stitchings. Also part of the upgrade is an expanded app store and improved driver assistance systems.

    Globally, the diesel and petrol engine options remain the same. The diesel range begins with the 45 TDI and features a 3.0-litre V6 engine producing 231 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. You’ll also get the option of 50 TDI, which comes with the same engine but with power enhanced to a substantial 286 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque. 

    The petrol engine lineup starts with the 55 TFSI, featuring a 3.0-litre V6 engine that offers 340 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque.
