35 Years of Exploration: Discovery Reveals Limited Edition Models and Exciting Updates

Abu Dhabi : The updates aim to boost style, practicality, and family comfort in the Discovery range.

• Discovery Tempest comes with matte-finished bodywork, giving it a sleek and stylish look that benefits the seven-seat family SUV.
• Discovery Gemini features unique design details and colour choices, including striking Sedona Red.
• Both models get the same 3.0-L Ingenium D350 diesel motor, with 48V Mild-Hybrid tech, producing 350 PS power, and 700 Nm torque.

Discovery has added two new editions, Tempest and Gemini, to boost its family appeal. These models celebrate 35 years of Discovery with subtle design details inspired by the model’s history. The updates also include new wheel options, better equipment, and extra accessory packs.

Discovery Tempest Highlights

The new Tempest edition is the most luxurious and equipped Discovery ever made. 

• The Tempest is available in three colours: Charente Grey, Varesine Blue, and Carpathian Grey, all with a matte protective film. 
• It features a contrasting Petra Copper Gloss roof, a first for Discovery, with an option for Narvik Gloss Black. 
• Exterior details like the wing vent, Discovery script, and lower bumper inserts also come in Petra Copper Gloss. 
• The 22-inch Diamond Turned Style 5124 alloy wheels have a Petra Copper tinted lacquer and Gloss Black accents, exclusive to Tempest. 
• Unique badging on the B-pillars, treadplates, puddle lamps, and interior finishers set it apart. 
• The spiral Tempest graphic symbolises power and motion. 
• Inside, the cabin displays Shadow Aluminium accents and extended Ebony Windsor leather upholstery, giving a premium look and feel.

Discovery Gemini Highlights

The Discovery Gemini honours over 35 years of proven design and engineering with a fresh look. 

• The Gemini features six exclusive colours, including Sedona Red and a Narvik Gloss Black contrast roof. 
• Black highlights run across the body, grille, and vents, while Gemini badges and graphics add a unique touch. 
• It rides on 21-inch alloy wheels with a split-seven-spoke design. 
• Inside, there are special badges, treadplates, comfort features like a cooler compartment, media holders, and three-zone climate control for family ease. 

Engine and Performance

Both the Tempest and Gemini models share the latest 3.0-litre Ingenium D350 diesel engine, with 48V Mild-Hybrid tech, 350 ps power, and 700 Nm torque. This engine is great for towing up to 3,500kg and helps improve fuel efficiency by harvesting energy during deceleration.

Improved Equipment

The Discovery now offers more options and versatility. 

• It gets new wheel choices with unique colours, like a dark grey and gloss black finish for the 22-inch Style 5124 wheels. 
• The 21-inch Style 5123 wheels in black are available on the Dynamic SE trim. 
• Tempest and Gemini, join the existing line-up, which includes S, Dynamic SE, Dynamic HSE, and the Metropolitan edition. 
• The Dynamic HSE, already well-equipped, now includes three-zone climate control so everyone stays comfortable.
