I’ve had a Toyota Corolla for a few years now, and I can see why it’s one of the most common cars here. It just does the job without any fuss. The engine is not too powerful but very reliable and fuel efficient, which makes a huge difference with daily office runs in Dubai traffic. Inside, it’s basic but comfortable, good AC, decent infotainment with Bluetooth, and easy controls. Maintenance is affordable, and Toyota service centers are pretty much everywhere across the UAE. Sometimes I wish it had a little more punch for highway overtakes, but overall, it’s a car you can depend on every single day without worry. Perfect if you just want peace of mind driving.

Like for example the pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, adaptive cruise control and automatic high beams. All of this helps accident prevention and overall improved road safety, very critical in UAE considering the number of cars on road.

The Corolla is the best car in its segment, this hybrid sedan is great to drive. Over the years with my experience with SUVs, I started to admire the Sedans for their nice touch and comfort, and drivability. I think the Corolla scores better today than ever when the prices of cars are going up considerably, while this hybrid from Japanese major Toyota is available at a bargain, and provides complete reliability with safety and far lower running cost. It looks great too.
