You won't find one better at its price point

Having recently arrived in Abu Dhabi, I was advised to purchase a big automobile in order not to get "bullied" on the road. That set me on a path to look at SUVs available. I did a fair bit of research which led me to the MG RX8. I purchased the Lux option with all the bells and whistles and I must say that I am very happy with my purchase and within this short period of owning it, even the family has put their stamp of approval on it. It has handsome looks and a strong presence on the road. As for the interior, it's a pretty nice place to be in. . . In my daughter's words "Daddy, no disrespect to our Mercedes (C200), this is much better". . . And my son's comments, "of all the cars we have owned (and we have owned over 5), this is my favourite." As for the drive, It's solid and gives you confidence and makes you feel safe whilst cruising on the highway just below 140km/hr. Leaving the drive mode on auto, I have noticed that at speeds over 110, there is some vibration which can be felt, especially in the front. This vibration also comes thru the steering. I must say though that it is not to the point that it becomes uncomfortable. Whilst I do wish that it would come with blind spot sensors, I am pretty happy with the RX8 and do not think one can find a better SUV with the combination of handsome looks, space and technology at its price point.
