Chevrolet Bolt EV

While the cabin of the new-age electric vehicles resorts to minimalism, the cabin layout of the Chevrolet Bolt EUV looks a bit conventional, albeit with the presence of various modern features.

The Chevrolet Bolt EUV comes with a conventional-looking three-spoke steering wheel with big-looking spokes and a full-TFT 8-inch instrument console behind it. The centre console also has a simple but nice-looking design with a large 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system stacked between sleek-looking AC vents at the top and a trapezoidal housing for the automatic climate control panel.

In the top-spec Premier variant, the Chevrolet Bolt EUV is available in both all-black and black with grey perforated leather upholstery options. The cabin of the Chevrolet Bolt EUV is equipped with a host of modern features like an electric sunroof, BOSE 7-speaker audio system, a wireless charger, heated and ventilated front seats and a powered driver’s seat.

As a usual modern-day EV should look, there is a sense of futurism and attractiveness in the overall design of the Chevrolet Bolt EUV. This electric crossover has got the right proportions, and while it doesn’t have the stance of a proper SUV, the various design elements everywhere around its exterior make it attention-grabbing.

At the front, the fascia of the Chevrolet Bolt EUV looks sleek with the closed hexagonal grille, its upper housing having a closed hexagonal mesh design and the lower housing having an open-air dam. The Chevrolet Bolt EUV comes with a split design for the headlamps, with the upper sleek-looking units housing the daytime running LEDs and small turn indicators on the sides, and the lower boomerang-shaped housings having LED projector units.

The Chevrolet Bolt EUV has a crossover-ish design when viewed from the side, with a slanted bonnet, and slim wheel arch mouldings. This electric crossover has body-coloured door handles and a dynamically rising-up window waistline, which along with the rounded wheel arches and 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels make the side profile look stylish.

At the back, the Chevrolet Bolt EUV looks modern with a gloss black finish for the boot lid garnish spread between the sleek LED tail lamps positioned in the lower corners of the rear windscreen. The Bolt EUV gets a trapezoidal housing for the license plate and a curved character line flowing across the width of the boot lid below it. The rear bumper of the electric crossover looks muscular, with all-black cladding all over it.

The Chevrolet Bolt EUV is meant to be a decent city slicker, which offers an easy driving experience with a light steering setup and a comfort-oriented tune for the suspension combination. With multiple drive modes on offer, the Chevrolet Bolt EUV offers a comfortable ride quality across all speed ranges.

Both the variants of the Chevrolet Bolt EUV differ based on features but do get the same set of electric motors and batteries. The Bolt EUV gets a single electric motor, which produces 200 bhp of power and 360 Nm of torque and channels the power produced to the front wheels. There is a 65 kWh lithium-ion battery offered as standard, which claims a maximum driving range of 400 km.

The list of safety features which are on offer in the Chevrolet Bolt EUV includes front, side, curtain and knee airbags, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision alert and automatic high beam. The other safety features available in the Chevrolet Bolt EUV include a rear view camera, front and rear parking sensors, BS with EBD, an electronic stability program, hill hold assist and hill descent control.

The Chevrolet Bolt EUV is a modern-day all-electric crossover, which ticks several boxes with its practical approach as a family-oriented vehicle, by offering a comfortable driving experience and appreciable performance levels.
