Zeekr 9X Debuts as Ultra-Luxury Hybrid SUV at Shanghai Motor Show

Zeekr has revealed the all-new 9X luxury hybrid SUV with 885 hp, Level 3 autonomy, and striking design at the 2025 Shanghai Motor Show. UAE launch details are expected soon.

Bold Design Signals New Direction

Unveiled at the 2025 Shanghai Motor Show, the Zeekr 9X marks a new era for the luxury EV brand. With an upright stance and tall body lines, the SUV boasts a bold presence.

The front carries a vertical grille with chrome bars, inspired by the Zeekr 009 MPV. At the rear, the full-width “Ring Screen Star Diamond” tail light adds futuristic style, made from 43,343 diamond-cut elements. Side-mounted vertical lights mimic the front’s “Side Wing Star Diamond Matrix” design for a unified look.

Advanced Autonomous Tech

Zeekr introduces its G-Pilot suite in the 9X, built on its latest ZEEA 3.0 platform. The system features five LiDAR sensors – one long-range and four short-range – offering full 360-degree coverage.

Zeekr claims this setup improves control system response time by 50%. With Level 3 driving capability, the 9X enters the same tech league as top-tier German rivals.

Power, Speed, and Range

The 9X is the first to carry Zeekr’s “Super Electric Hybrid” system – a mix of EV, PHEV, and EREV traits for top efficiency. It has a 275 hp 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 3-speed automatic gearbox, working as a generator for the battery.
