VinFast reveals VF 3 electric SUV in Vietnam

ABU DHABI: VinFast, the leading EV manufacturer from Vietnam, recently revealed the specs of its VF 3 electric SUV. This unveiling coincided with the opening of bookings for the electric vehicle earlier this month within the company's home country. 

Within a short span of 66 hours following the opening of bookings, VinFast received over 27,000 pre-orders. This remarkable response testifies to the growing demand for electric mobility solutions and solidifies VinFast's position as a leader in the global EV landscape.

The four-seat, two-door VF 3 is 3,190 mm long, 1,679 mm wide, 1,622 mm tall, and has a 2,075 mm long wheelbase. VinFast has labelled it a ‘mini-SUV’ that can seamlessly adapt to suburban and urban environments. With a ground clearance of around 191 mm, the VF 3 can also be equipped with optional 16-inch alloy wheels.

A rear-mounted electric motor propels the VF 3, generating 43.5 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque. It takes just 5.3 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 50 kilometres per hour. It is equipped with an 18.64-kWh lithium-ion battery that offers up to 210 kilometres of range on a single charge. In a mere 36 minutes, the VF 3 electric SUV can recharge from 10 to 70 percent, ensuring minimal downtime and convenience for drivers on the go.

There are two different pricing options for the VinFast VF 3. With a battery, it is being offered at VND 322 million (approximately AED 51,520), and without the battery, you can buy it for VND 240 million (around AED 38,400). For the latter option, a separate battery pack subscription plan is also available.
