New Mercedes-AMG A 35 makes debut at 2018 Paris Motor Show

ABU DHABI: The new Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC has recently unveiled at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. It's an entry-level performance hatchback which was unveiled last month online and is positioned between range-topping A45 and Mercedes Benz A-Class, inheriting some traits from the later. Designed to compete against the like of Audi S3, Volkswagen Golf GTI, and Mini Cooper S, this entry-level hot hatch is essentially cheaper. It is a detuned version of the next A45 AMG, without compromising the fun.

The car is equipped with the newly developed turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder mill that is capable of producing a maximum of power 310 PS and 200 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission that can give you goosebumps with its capability of hitting 0-100 kmph in just 4.7 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 kmph.

Matching the performance under the bonnet, the cockpit is offered with a host of tech and the AMG treatment. In the list is included a newly designed AMG center console to switch between functions like the ESC, manual transmission mode, driving modes, and an adaptive adjustable suspension. The car comes with AMG sports seats covered in top grade leather, flat-bottom AMG steering wheel, and dual-display from the standard A-Class that accommodates the instrument console and infotainment system.

The additional highlighting feature is the new MBUX user infotainment that enhances its connectivity quotient significantly through the seamless voice command technology with multiple driving modes. It comes with AMG sports seats covered in top grade leather, flat-bottom AMG steering wheel and the dual-display from the standard A-Class that accommodates the instrument console and the infotainment system.

Mercedes-AMG A 35 REAR

With a redesigned bumper accompanied by larger air intakes and splitters, multi-spoke alloy wheels, lower ground clearance and a massive wing at the rear, the car gets its necessary visual upgrades over the standard A-class. The sales are to commence from early next year in Europe with other countries following the suit. It seems the people of UAE need to wait for a while before they can get their hands on this new hot hatch!
