New-Gen Toyota Supra to make an official debut in January 2019
ABU DHABI: Toyota Motor Corporation is ready to launch their production-model of the Toyota Supra in January 2019. Earlier, they showcased it as the GR Supra Racing Concept in the Geneva International Motor Show and also previewed a camouflaged prototype model at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. After four successful generations, the 5th Generation 2020 Toyota Supra is all set to make its world premiere at the upcoming 2019 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, which will be held from January 14 to 27, 2019.
The Next-Gen Toyota Supra also took part in the VLN Endurance Championship, Nürburgring in October 2018. Now, something which Toyota has kept as a secret is, what kind of power will the new-generation Toyota Supra Offer? Will it be similar to that of the BMW Z4’s powertrain? And what kind of transmission will be there?
If we talk about the BMW Z4, it offers 20i, 30i, and the most powerful 40i option which produces 390 PS of max power and 500 Nm of peak torque.
It is very much possible that Toyota might offer more power and better performance compared to the Z4. Whether or not Supra will be offering a manual transmission as an option, remains to be seen.
Toyota will start handing over the all-new Supra to its customers from the first half of 2019.
