Durable and affordable 2018 Accent soon to join Hyundai UAE line-up

ABU DHABI: First Honda with the new Accord, then Toyota with the Yaris sedan, and now 2018 Hyundai Accent, it's all a fresh display of sedans for the UAE auto market. All-new Hyundai Accent that was first revealed in Korea last year is soon turning its path towards the sand dunes country, the UAE.

Yes, approximately two-weeks from now, i.e. on 26th March, Hyundai will officially introduce the 2018 Accent in the UAE. The launch event would take place in Bahrain and is planned in partnership with UAE Africa, as the next-generation Accent will be launched there as well.

While giving out 2018 Accent debut news Mike Song, Hyundai’s Head of Operation, Africa and the Middle East explained the new Accent as,  “The Accent is a defining product for Hyundai, with a hard-earned reputation for delivering both quality and value. This all-new model continues that tradition, while also demonstrating Hyundai’s commitment to innovation. It is a stronger, safer, and more technically advanced car, in a package that will be enjoyable to drive and economical to own.”

As said by Mr Song, the fifth-generation Accent displays new design language, better cabin amenities, advanced performance, and hiked safety features. All this while continuing brand’s reliability, trust, and quality. What impressed us further is the new Accent's affordable price tag that makes it a potential option for first-time car buyers.

The all-new Accent is better than its ongoing model in many areas, here’s a little glimpse of its improved features -

1. The 2018 Accent displays improved dimension specs over its soon-to-be-outdated model. The sedan is now broader and more extended, not only enhancing the exterior look but cabin space too.

2. The cabin now offers highly durable upholstery that’s a pleasure to see and touch. The controls are located strategically easing usability for both driver and passengers.

3. New Accent is powered by a new set of petrol powertrains - a 100 PS pouring 1.4-litre 4-Cyl and a 1.6-litre 4-Cyl 123 PS delivering mill. Both these mills will be available in the choice of six-speed automatic and manual transmission and are based on Hyundai's new advanced engine design making them fuel-efficient and dynamic.

4. In terms of safety, Hyundai has moved new Accent ‘further ahead as an industry leader’. The new compact sedan now offers a bunch of enchanted safety features like - six airbags, automatic stability control, static bending headlights, emergency stop signal, and auto cruise control.

Hyundai has tagged the new Accent as a mass-market sedan with innovation and new technology resting at its core. Post the upcoming March launch; Accent will arrive at company dealerships in next two to three months for sale.
