2018 Aston Martin Vantage enters production

ABU DHABI: The Aston Martin Vantage has been an exceptionally popular car and has been working hand-in-hand with the DBs. But if you are too intrigued by the 2018 iteration of the supercar, you may be wooed by the fact that it no longer uses the same naturally-aspirated V12 engine.

On the occasion of the 2018 Aston Martin Vantage entering production, the company held a small ceremony at the Gaydon production facility in Warwickshire. Dr. Andy Palmer, the CEO, said that this day is very important in the history of the company. Right from the start, the Vantage has been the most successful single model. The company is hopeful that the newer model is expected to surpass this popularity. The company will focus on the retention of important old customers and also the new customers by repositioning the car.

Greg Clark praised Aston Martin further by saying that the brand is an integral part of the proud British automobile heritage. The Vantage is one of the few British-built cars that exemplify the innovation and skills of the auto sector of UK and sets it apart from its peers.

The 2018 Aston Martin Vantage will be getting a powerful 4.0-litre, V8 engine along with twin turbocharger. This AMG-developed engine would be capable of making a huge power of 510 PS along with a humongous torque of 685 Nm. At the time of the debut, it would just get the 8-speed automatic transmission along with a paddle shifter. However, in around a year's time from now, there might be a manual gearbox on offer too.

The new Vantage could hit a top speed of 195 mph at an acceleration of 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds.
